Hi, I'm Ben.


 

CEO of Finch Creative Education. Destination Wedding, Commercial and Editorial Photographer. Other hats include - but are not limited to - Author, Pilot, Musician, University Professor, and most importantly, Husband of Joy and Father of four really amazing kids.   

I am most well known as a wedding and commercial photographer based in East Tennessee. But I have a somewhat diverse background, or as a friend once said, early in my professional life, I had “occupational ADHD”. I was a college soccer player who became a musician and pastor, retail manager, turned PhD student, became a business consultant, motivational speaker, photographer, designer, university professor and the list keeps growing. Truth is, I have interests in numerous fields. 

Previously, I was in graduate school working on a PhD in Strategic and Organizational Leadership (I did not finish, by the way).

I was hired out of that program by a consulting firm that specifically worked within the medical field. They brought me on to teach doctors and staff how to run healthy businesses. For several years, I traveled the US teaching this content, and I learned that, in most cases, the entrepreneur stands in their own way.

With the knowledge I gained through these experiences, I honed in on my passion and launched into self-employment with my photography business as well as a design firm in 2008. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to turn several of my passions into profitable business ventures, and I want to help you do the same.
